A Happy New Year !
On January 1 in Year 2000, we started at Fort Myers Beach in Florida
and returnd to San Jose by plane on the same day, but no trouble occured.

We went to New York City during the last Thanksgiving holiday.
We visited Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Central Park,
Times Square and so on
making the most of subway, bus and ferry.
Kotaro also enjoyed sightseeing on my back.

We got a "Zoo Family Membership" at $48/year.
We often visit The Oakland Zoo
because many animals like elephants and giraffes walk about freely
and we can ride on a miniature train which Kotaro loves.

Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park
during last week-end.
I was impressed by General Sherman Tree, the world's biggest one.
Kings Canyon was also good because of its calm atomosphere in comparison to
Yosemite.
My wife was more excited than Kotaro to find something like gold dust at the
bottom of the river.

Japan.
We miss his family.

My family went to Disneyland
during the last July 4th holiday.
We stayed there for a total of 28 hours with the 3-day discount tickets
($65/person).
We took just 6 hours for a 365 mile, non-stop, return drive from LA.
The trip was so hard but (I hope) Kotaro enjoyed it very much.
